Southside Auto Repair has been a family affair for three generations! Walter Lewis began working at JC Penny then got the opportunity to purchase a Western Auto retail store in 1968. All three generations, Walter (grandfather), David (father), and James (Son), worked at the store, and in 2003 Western Auto liquidated the company. The family sold the retail business and shifted to a full-service automotive repair shop. Fast forward to 2016, and the family bought out their competition across the street, tore down the building, and erected a brand new, eight-bay, state-of-the-art shop at 403 Southland Dr. Lexington, KY 40503. Today, Southside Auto Repair is trusted by motorists throughout Lexington, KY, for all their auto repair and maintenance needs. As a premium auto repair shop, our modern facility is furnished with factory-approved equipment to work on all makes and models. Led by James Lewis, the team of ASE-Certified mechanics combine over 35 years of experience and continue to attend training to ensure they are up to date on the latest vehicle technology, including hybrid/EV cars.
